COREY COLUM

SINGER- SONGWRITER

With his first album under his belt along with a few thousand kilometres, this down to earth Aussie bloke is looking forward to the next chapter. Over the past couple of years, Corey has been traveling Australia singing and writing songs. Corey is currently spending time in the Kimberley Region of WA, where he is very busy writing with excitement about his family life, stories and characters he has met from his time travelling and is looking forward to new recording’s which will be out late 2016.

Corey’s first step into the career he had always dreamed of, began when he took out the Songwriter’s Award for the Telstra Road To Tamworth along with the People’s Choice Award. Winning this award lead to a trip to Nashville where Corey co-wrote with some of the industries finest and as a new kid on the block was able to “see how the pros did it”. Corey also performed at some historic venues along the famous music strip in Nashville and was able to share his passion for music with many people he met.

On return to Australia Corey signed with ABC Music Australia and released his debut album self tilted “Corey Colum” at the Tamworth Country Music Festival which was received well.  Three singles were released to radio from the self titled album. The first single being West Australian Woman which was co-written with Matt Scullion and Garth Porter. This also became Corey’s first music film clip which played in the top 20 on Foxtels Country Music Channel. The marvellous Duncan Tombs produced the film clip and made Corey’s experience a very calm and enjoyable one. This film clip also holds a special place for Corey as it was filmed at the Family Farm in the South West of WA.

Corey has played at various Country Music Festivals including the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Boyup Brook Country Music festival and most recently performed at the CMC Country Music Festival. Along his journey Corey has also supported well known Australian acts such as Adam Harvey and the Sunny Cowgirls. Corey is looking forward to the future.

With many more kilometres to travel, stories to sing and people to meet. Corey hopes to see you on the road somewhere.
